Engine Programmer

Type: Full-time contract

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engine architecture
  • Design and develop engine components (rendering, physics, AI, etc)
  • Design and develop content creation and pipeline tools
  • Implement gameplay components

Requirements

  • Proven abilities in 3D engine design and development
  • Proven abilities in designing, developing, and debugging game engine level code
  • Experience in integrating and using 3rd party middleware
  • Deep understanding of computer and software engineering techniques and the ability to apply them successfully in game development
  • Ability to analyze and optimize code performance
  • Proficiency in C++, preferably in Microsoft Visual Studio/C++ environment
  • Excellent coding and debugging skills
  • Strong math and problem solving skills

Tools Programmer

Game Designer

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test gameplay mechanics and elements for a multiplayer 3D action game
  • Present, develop, and prototype innovative gameplay ideas and mechanics

Requirements

  • Proven abilities in designing, developing, and debugging gameplay mechanics
  • Deep understanding of multiplayer gameplay mechanics and strong multiplayer design skills
  • Strong character, level, and environment design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics
  • Strong gameplay user-interface design skills
  • Ability to implement holistic user-experience and community-driven design
  • Ability to use 3D content creation tools like Max, Maya, to create level mock-ups

Concept and Texture Artist

  • Conceptualize and create concept images for the game, including characters, environments, props
  • Create sprites, visual effects, UI, and textures for 3D assets
  • Create storyboards and other supporting art, including marketing art

Requirements

  • Ability to create high quality concepts and communicate ideas visually and effectively
  • Excellent fine art skills in drawing, painting, colour, lighting
  • Ability to quickly conceptualize ideas with rich pool of ideas and good versatility in art styles
  • Ability to receive and provide suggestions for art direction
  • Proficiency in digital drawing tools such as Photoshop/Painter
  • Ability to communicate and work well in a team with game designers, engineers, and management

3D Artist

Responsibilities

  • Create 3D models for the game, including characters, environments, props, UI elements
  • Create animation rigs and collision bounding volumes
  • Work with designers and programmers to manage the content creation and tools pipeline and implement 3D assets into the game

Requirements

  • Proven abilities in 3D modeling high quality 3D assets within technical specifications, including various level-of-detail (LOD) levels
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and animation tools such as Max, Maya, Softimage
  • Ability to create 3D models and scenes from concept art or reference materials, with high quality lighting and compositional techniques
  • Good fine art skills in drawing
  • Ability to quickly conceptualize ideas with rich pool of ideas and good versatility in art styles
  • Ability to receive and provide suggestions for art direction
  • Ability to communicate and work well in a team with game designers, engineers, and management
