Calico Baltizar

Background

Soldier, Mercenary, Smuggler Pirate, Convict and Bounty Hunter.

     Calico has a habit of being on the losing side of any conflict. As a fresh volunteer from the agricultural world of Tduk, he fought for the Galactic Commonwealth. Rising to the rank of Platoon Leader he was respected by his men for his loyalty and bravery in a war that was lost before it had begun. When 'peace' was signed, Calico returned to his family farm only to find it auctioned off by greedy Warlords.

     Finding no other use for his skills and short on luck, he went from mercenary unit to mercenary unit. There he lost any sense of loyalty except to the all powerful coin. Eventually he crossed paths with the infamous pirate Captain Xavarius Kull and joined his motley crew.

     An act of pity by Calico in not putting to flame a vessel filled with women and children drew Kull's sadistic ire. Killing Kull in a battle, he lead the crew to mutiny and lead his own private revolution against the Federated Corporate League. He was captured and sentenced to Proximas Prime a penal colony where he spent the next 5 years of his life in hard labor.

     As luck would have it, one of the people 'spared' in the initial act of kindness rose to a position of importance. Judge Adwin Monroe, while shifting through court documents recognized Calico. A pardon in exchange for some 'favors' in hunting down bigger fish allowed Calico to be a free man.

     The ex-pirate now bounty hunter travels in his ship 'The Red Belle' hunting down some of his former partners in crime. He still has a strong sense of honor which he is trying to get rid of because he believes it will probably get him killed.
